We have to save them

We have to save them
We have to save them

I'm french and my English is not perfect, but I will try to translate my website,"Nous Devons Les Sauver" (which means we have to save them), as best as I can.

This website is dedicated to animals.

There won't be any offensive pictures, because the aim of this website is to make you think, ponder.

Feel free to post some comments, whether you have a remark, a question or something to add to make the whole reflection go further.. Frank and respectful critics are welcome too!

..website under construction..

I started writing this website several years ago, when I was 15, and it presently needs some refreshing.. I frankly hope that you'll find the content of the articles I'm redoing interesting.

Vivisection for cosmetics

Beagles are bred in the UK to be used in laboratories
Beagles are bred in the UK to be used in laboratories

Do not worry, this article won't display terrible pictures of abused laboratories animals. I show healthy, in full bloom animals rather than these victims of vivisection, in order to advocate for respect of animal life.

Anyway, you can find plenty of these photographs on the web.

Animals didn't ask for anything. They're not willing to be vivisected.

"But what exactly is vivisection ?" will you ask me!

It is a term integrating all the means by which scientists in labs can harm non human animals.

Animal testing is done for 2 main reasons :

  1. Toxicological tests for newly-created products (cosmetics..)
  2. Research in medicine in order to find cure, vaccines, drugs for humans (mainly)

However, there are viable alternatives to animal testing, because vivisection is not only cruel but also not very reliable.

You'll find more about it, with data and definition, here :

What is an animal experimentation?

In France, more than 2 million animals are sacrified each year at the altar of science. This fact is even more revolting since we currently know how useless and dangerous these tests are.

The experiments ( called 'procedures') occur on animals bred in captivity or on wild animals, just captured from their natural inhabitat. In this way, orphan monkeys are regularly transported by planes from Africa to european labs.

I don't what it feels like for you, but this reminds me a little of the nazis experiments, cruel tests. Pointless, egregious and made on innocent beings.

A little provocation can enhance reflection, doesn't it?

You can chose to stop supporting vivisection!

This is the list of companies that don't test their products on animals.

It means other companies, even the most famous, use animals testing. When you buy a perfume or a cosmetic, you don't imagine that by this you sentence to death hundreds of mice, rabbits... Those people who care more about theirs benefits than about animals' living conditions test their products on rodents, cats, dogs, monkeys !

Please when you do some shopping buy these products instead of more famous marks who don't care about animals. Nowadays we can't find them everywhere, but it still saves lots of animals.

(moreover, you can notice that most of these products are organic!)

"We call them dumb animals, and so they are, for they cannot tell us how they feel, but they do not suffer less because they have no words."

Anna Sewell, author of Black Beauty

► As for me, the british company Lush is the perfect one to take care of your body while avoiding causing any harm! The hand-made products are of quite good quality, and though they're a little expensive, I think it's worth it ! The cosmetics from this brand can be purchased online .

Don't wear fur anymore

Do you prefer a fox alive or in fur coat?
Do you prefer a fox alive or in fur coat?

It seems obvious to animals' friends but so many persons wear 'corpse-coats' !

a baby seal
a baby seal

Poachers kill harmless baby seals due to their beautilful skin/fur. Some of the seals are still alive when they're jointed !! (I know, it's horrible)

In fact, sealing is forbidden but poachers keep killing baby seals.

The seal cull must stop !

Don't buy fur anymore please !

Just realize that the human species is not 'higher' than the other animal species, and that the fact that we consider ourselves smarter is not a good reason to despise the other animals.

Remaining insensitive to the acts of cruelty whose main victims are innoncents is.. egregious. Cutting out animals for the sake of fashion,in order to be trendy or 'chic', is one of the most awful truth of human's dumbness and egoism. This lack of empathy does not lead anywhere. Please open your eyes to animal suffering, people working in the fur industry..

We don't NEED to confine, torture and murder animals to live at a full bloom !!

To help our favorites ball of fluff, here are some rules you have to respect :

• Do not wear fur goods -anymore!-

• If you find fur beautiful, then buy FAKE fur, faux fur

• Don't wear leather nor other goods producted thanks to corpses

You see, it's not that complicated. There is no need to kill animals to be happy.

Do you really want to look like this↑ ? (Cruella - 101 dalmatians)

The Arctic Fox lives in some of the most frigid extremes on the planet. Among its adaptations for cold survival are its deep, thick fur, a system of countercourant heat exchange in the circulation of paws to retain core temperature, and a good supply of body fat. The fox has a low surface area to volume ratio, as evidenced by its generally rounded body shape, short muzzle and legs, and short, thick ears. Since less of its surface area is exposed to the Arctic cold, less heat escapes the body. Its furry paws allow it to walk on ice in search of food. The Arctic Fox has such keen hearing that it can precisely locate the position of prey under the snow. When it finds prey, it pounces and punches through the snow to catch its victim. Its fur changes colour with the seasons: in the winter it is white to blend in with snow, while in the summer months it changes to brown.  source
